BELIEVE. EDUCATE. ACHIEVE.
TCOR is the first FE College in the country based within a working Rugby Union Club! We use the games ethos and values to help teach, nurture and mould future generations.
Being based within a working Rugby Union Club gives The College of Rugby immediate and relatable resources on a daily basis! You will have the opportunity to:
Work alongside coaches, grounds maintenance, events management etc
And to be taught within the setting of official club suites
The advantages for our students and their respective clubs, is that all acquired good practice is taken back with them! This can then be utilised at their own clubs discretion.
EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING is at the core of our ethos! To experience, develop and learn is a life privilege, and one that we at The College of Rugby fully nurture and embrace!
Our students will have the opportunity to work with external organisations and agencies that will give them the experience and qualifications to progress in their chosen career.
The College of Rugby has established close working strategic partnerships with:
TryIt Rugby
Lancashire RFU
Local primary, secondary and special needs schools
School Games Organisers
Local borough councils
Local Rugby Union Clubs
This gives our students a unique opportunity to learn, work and even earn whilst studying at The College of Rugby!
Our academic partnership with YMCA gives us the support and flexibility to deliver these exciting and rewarding programmes, opening up opportunities for our students to access:
HE courses
Apprenticeships
Employment
We are also partnered with CIMSPA (Chartered Institute of Management for Sport and Physical Activity). This National organisation also provides our students with apprenticeship opportunities beyond their two year study programme at The College of Rugby!
